I APPEAR IN THE NEW ELY JACQUES KAHN DOCUMENTARY
February 17th 2020
On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, I had the honor of being invited to the premiere of a new documentary called ELY JACQUES KAHN: A NEW YORK ARCHITECT STANDING THE TEST OF TIME, at New York's Austrian Cultural Forum (Kahn's father came from Hohenems, Austria, and the Hohenems Jewish Museum was a sponsor of the premiere and reception). I appear twice in the film, showing Two Park Avenue, Kahn's art deco masterpiece, where he had his own office and where Ayn Rand worked for him as a typist and file clerk for six months, 1937-1938, to research The Fountainhead. The architect's great-grandson, EJK IV, was there, and he is also in the film. He once took my "Ayn Rand's Park Avenue" tour. His father, EJK III, was at the premiere too. Number Three told me that of all the talking heads in the film, I was the most effective.
